For the 2004 Renaissance in the Pines faire, Greyhounds of Fairhaven teamed up with the Arizona Renaissance Guild to help raise money for both groups with a "Soak a Bloke/Drench a Wench" offering. For a $1 donation, patrons could throw water-soaked sponges at the ARG or GoF member in the stocks; for $2, we'd "arrest" a loved one, put him or her in the stocks, and allow them to be "stoned" with wet sponges. It was a real "hit" with patrons and participants alike! Of course, we also promoted Greyhound adoption; there was a lot of interest in the hounds and we gave out a lot of information about adoption.
